Time commitment:
Roughly how many hours (a month) should artists expect between camps?
Around 8 hrs per month
Attendance:
Do participants have to attend every camp and online session? What happens if someone misses one?
Yes. It can be missed because of f.e. sickness, but the starting point is that they should be available for all parts of the project to be eligible to participate.
Showcase fee:
Do artists get a fee for the showcases, or only travel and accommodation?
Only travel and accommodation.
Travel:
Can artists bring a musician, technician or manager, and is their travel covered? Is the travel cost covered fully or up to a limit, and does the project book it or do artists get reimbursed?
If you wish to bring a musician, technician or manager along for the showcases, it can be discussed. The project won’t pay for their travel and accommodation. Everybody books their own travel and can get it reimbursed after booking. The full amount can be reimbursed, but has to be agreed by the project manager upfront.
Backline:
What exactly is “basic backline”? Can artists bring their own gear?
This will be discussed with each production department separately. Each festival has basic backline options at their venues. They should bring essential/specific gear themselves.
Language:
Is the programme run entirely in English?
Yes it is.
Residency:
Can artists apply if they’re citizens of another country but live in DK, NO or AT? Do they need proof of residence?
Anybody who currently lives in DK, NO or AT is eligible to apply.
Eligibility overlap:
Can an artist also apply as an emerging professional, or apply for both calls?
The emerging professionals will be hand picked, so the overlap will probably be minimal. Closer to each festival, another 6 local young professionals will be chosen through an open call. Artists can apply for this too, if they’re from the region in which the festival takes place.
Accessibility:
What support is there for participants with disabilities or other access needs?
We’d like to be as inclusive as possible, offering guidance and tailor made options where needed. Therefor there’s some space in the application form to let us know what they’d need in order to be able to participate fully.
Feedback:
Will rejected applicants get feedback?
Unfortunately, we won’t be able to provide individual feedback.
After the programme:
What happens to the projects after November? Is there support for continuing them, and who owns the ideas?
The ideas are owned by themselves. They’ll leave Live Incubator with a plan, that they’ll be able to continue within their project teams. The Live Incubator team will stay available for additional feedback and coaching where needed.
